Our vision is to have Dawn Chorus support throughout the country. We would love to have all well known and high profile New Zealand owned and operated companies involved. The real success for conservation in New Zealand will be when New Zealanders take up the reins and actively seek to ensure that we don't lose species because of our own indifference.

Dawn Chorus was launched in March 2004. It serves as an entry point sponsorship for businesses, families and visitors who committed to conservation fundraising on a nation wide scale. Funds are accumulated and sent out to volunteer groups, researchers and DOC endorsed projects on a regular basis.

We frequently work with the Department of Conservation and enjoy a unique partnership that earns us respect, managing an developing sponsorships or cause related marketing projects within this and the scientific community.

Dawn Chorus supporters comprise of companies, families and individuals who have made a choice to protect New Zealand's native species. Like you, they could have chosen to sponsor a sports team, research into a disease or a spectacular performance. They didn't. That's because for our, for New Zealand's very own native species tomorrow, when the cures are found , when the teams have won or when the curtain comes down, it could be too late.

New Zealand, in the grand scheme of things, is a remote island. We have the potential to reverse the trend that leads to barren and silent forests. There are tough decisions to make if we choose to protect our endemic species. Predator control and restoration of habitat will mean significant interventions in the ecosystems that currently abound.
