Launch of the Dawn Chorus Auckland 19 March 2004
The Dawn Chorus was launched at Old Government House on 19 March 2004. Hon Chris Carter, Minister of Conservation unveiled the vibrantly branded banner and presented framed certificates to all inaugural sponsors amidst a gathering of 50.
The launch of the Dawn Chorus provided an opportunity to make cheque presentations to the inaugural two Dawn Chorus projects - 'Vocal Signatures the role fo song and repertoire in Kokako,' and the 'Wrybill - Seeking care and protection'.
