Warbirds over Wanaka International Airshow Wanaka 10 April 2004

A New Zealand National Parks and Conservation Foundation event was carefully woven into the internationally recognised Warbirds Over Wanaka International Airshow. Trustee Prue Wallis championed the Foundation event which saw over 40 Foundation and Dawn Chorus sponsors and friends enjoy the spectacular aerobatic and aeronautic displays throughout a gloriously sunny autumnal day. 'Rocketman' and first man on the moon Buzz Aldrin guest of the Airshow organisers, Alpine Deer Group, along with Trustees Sam Neill , Hugh Logan, Dick Hubbard, Denis Marshall and Mark Leishman were on hand to chat to sponsors and provide their interpretation of the days proceedings At the close of the airshow sponsors were taken to Prue's home Benfiddich overlooking Lake Wanaka for a superb catered dinner and speeches about the Foundation and its objectives.
